Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On!
With the recent earthquakes in Southern California it reminds me of the 1994 Northridge Quake.
How it all Began
Introduction to the book
Central Receiving Ambulance from Georgia St. going Code 3 thru the Streets of Los Angeles in 1950's
Very rare footage of Central Receiving ambulance working out of Georgia Street responding Code 3 to various emergency medical events. Notice the uniforms that had the patch "Emergency Medical- Los Angeles". The attendant had a silver band on his hat while the driver had a black band. This footage is over 70 years old. Much of the footage is on Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards. Note the movie called "The Last Time I Saw Paris" with Elizabeth Taylor and Van Johnson (1954). Also in the clip is the Chief Ambulance Attendant, Bob Roberts, who retired in 1957.
